1. The service
Beyond Alarm is an Android alarm clock app. By installing or using it, you agree to these terms.
2. Free trial and Beyond Pro
Every install includes a 5-day free trial with all Pro features unlocked. No payment details are required for the trial and nothing is charged automatically when it ends — the app simply continues on its free tier, with Pro features locked.
Beyond Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play. It renews at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before. Manage or cancel it any time in the Google Play Store under Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the period you have already paid for ends.
Refunds are handled by Google Play under their refund policy.
3. Alarms are not guaranteed
We have gone to considerable lengths to make alarms fire reliably, including native scheduling and a built-in reliability checker. However, Android phone manufacturers — particularly Xiaomi, vivo, OPPO, realme and Samsung — apply aggressive battery restrictions that can prevent any app's alarm from firing if the relevant permissions are not granted.
You are responsible for granting the permissions the app asks for, and for checking the reliability screen. Do not rely on Beyond Alarm — or any app-based alarm — as your only alarm for something critical, such as a flight or an exam.
4. Exercise missions and your safety
The exercise missions require physical movement. You perform them at your own risk. Beyond Alarm is not a fitness or medical product and gives no health advice. If you have any injury, condition, or doubt about whether exercise is safe for you, consult a doctor and choose a non-exercise mission instead. Do not attempt an exercise mission if doing so would be unsafe.
5. Device administrator and lockout features
The "Prevent app uninstall", Phone Block and Morning Lockout features intentionally restrict your use of your own device. They are optional and off by default. You choose to enable them. You can disable device administrator at any time from the app's settings, and lockouts end when their timer expires.
6. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app, or use it to interfere with anyone else's device.
7. Liability
Beyond Alarm is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from an alarm failing to sound, a missed appointment, injury during an exercise mission, or your inability to use your device during a lockout you enabled.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
